Job Description

At Stryker, our HR Operations team is committed to delivering an exceptional employee experience in every interaction.  That includes ensuring our leave of absence programs are administered accurately and efficiently.  This role offers an opportunity to support our employees and managers as well as providing administrative support to the Leaves team.

  • Support the administration of leave of absence programs such as FMLA, Parental Leave, ADA and Short and Long-Term Disability.
  • Ensures appropriate case management documentation occurs.
  • Prepare leave of absence documentation for employees
  • Worker’s compensation filing
  • Maintain leave records in online benefits files in accordance with record retention schedule
  • Provide support for employees on leave of absence
  • Provides exceptional customer service to employees
  • Manage documents (Scan, file, copy, fax)
  • Run reports and perform monthly audits as assigned
  • Exemplify team attitude and willingness to support others in need of assistance

Degree in Human Resources, Business or related major is required or equivalent work experience in Human Resources (Leaves/Benefits experience preferred). 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Prefer two years’ experience in HR or Leaves/Benefits administration in an employee-focused, demanding environment. 
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to take initiative, learn new concepts/processes and improve current processes
  • Ability to provide rapid, accurate response to confidential/sensitive requests and to handle confidential information
  • Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), typing proficiency is required and experience with a case management system and HRMS system preferred.
  • Applied knowledge of benefit laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, HIPAA and ERISA.
