  • Position summary:  

    The Leader of Management Development will manage the design and development of learning and development solutions for the Leader of People and Process talent segment.   

    This position will be a member of the Learning Design and Design team and will work with HR Business Partners and Talent Management colleagues to design and develop classroom and virtual learning solutions.  

    Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description) 

    • Lead the design of an integrated talent strategy for the Leader of People and Process Segment based on strategic workforce planning and insights 

    • Design Leader of People and Process Roadmap – 70/20/10 Formal and informal learning and development solutions based on time in position and level of development in role 

    • Establish, deliver and communicate meaningful metrics that reflect the impact of the development investments and developmental plans 

    • Design and develop learning curriculum in support of employee performance and development (examples include the Stryker Virtual Development Academy, LEAD 100, LEAD 200)  

    • Identify and select external development partners / solutions based on capability gaps and aligned to leadership expectations 

    • Manage external vendor relationship including negotiation and evaluation  

    • Engage key stakeholders and regional leads to establish a regular vendor review process in partnership with procurement 

    • Partner with Coaching and Assessment leader to establish process / solutions for Leader of People and Process Talent Segment for selection, advancement, and development (i.e. DiSC, MBTI)  

    • Partner with Talent Management Learning Design and Development team to ensure alignment between Leader of Self and Leader of Self / Organization development solutions 

    • Consult with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders on design and development of learning and development programs.  

    • Partner with HR leaders to assess development needs, source solutions, collect feedback and evolve learning and development program offerings.  

    Education & special trainings: 

    • ​​Bachelor’s degree from accredited university required.   

    • ​Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is preferred.​ 

    Qualifications & experience: 

    ​​Minimum of 10+ years professional experience in the areas of human resources, organization development, training and development, and/or talent management in a team-based environment.   ​

    • ​Minimum 5 years of direct work experience in the areas of instructional design, organization development, training and development and/or talent management. 

    • ​Experience with leadership development tools, programs, and processes. 

    • ​Experience with program facilitation 

    • ​Demonstrated knowledge and application of talent management principles, including needs analysis, adult learning, program design and delivery, and evaluation. 

    • ​Experience with curriculum and workshop design for instructor led, virtual and self-paced offerings. 

    • ​Global leadership and / or US multinational experience preferred  

    • ​Proven experience in remote teams with a strong focus on developing trusted relationships with the business.  

    • ​Demonstrated excellence in customer relations and building strong and influential relationships at all levels within an organization; problem solving and proactive service orientation. 

    • ​Excellent analytical skills and the ability to package information in clear, concise executive level ready format 

    • ​Proven ability to drive programs, lead people through change and meet deliverables in a complex environment 

    • ​Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills​ 

    Physical & mental requirements:  

    • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.  Generally involves sitting most of the time. 

    • Must be able to operate common office equipment (e.g. computer, printer, copy machine, calculator, telephone, etc.). 

    • Must be able to review printed and handwritten materials. 

    • Must be able to communicate telephonically and with large groups of people.
