Job Description

The Lead Strategic Pricing Analyst provides analytical insights and strategic support for the North American region. Supporting analytics developed using standard business reporting and Model N systems are provided for discount strategy and segmentation, pricing requests and more formal customer request for proposals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support ongoing analysis to ensure the price concession process is profitable and support our commercial strategy for growth.
  • Work collaboratively with various internal stakeholders to procure and quantify strategic partnerships with IDN’s and GPO’s. 
  • Define and track success metrics.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to continuously improve discount methodology and sales enablement opportunities with new technology.
  • Create and maintain IDN/GPO database to govern management of strategic accounts.  Analyze trends and provide recommendations/statistical insights based on data to help sales.
  • Support and improve price concession processes by tracking, reporting and supporting effectiveness of current state.  Provide ongoing recommendations on how to optimize discounts.  Develop and implement contractual reporting tools.
  • Develop statistically sound methodologies for assessing price elasticity for each product in our portfolio.  Incorporate into strategy for new product launches.
  • Combine quantitative tools and feedback from field stakeholders to optimize pricing strategy and maximize growth.  Provide recommendations to sales leadership based on market economic trends.  Continually refine price concession process to ensure effectiveness and impact.
  • Provide end user feedback loop to improve capabilities.
  • Provide ad-hoc analytical support to sales and marketing.
  • Provide training on analytical tools to cross-functional groups across the organization.
  • Provide periodic auditing support for reporting systems.  Ensure that data being produced by reporting systems is accurate and consistent.

Qualifications/Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline required
  • 5 years of professional experience in large organization required
  • Experience working across multiple organizational functions managing projects and have ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in written form, analyses to a variety of audiences
  • 5 years professional experience working across multiple organizational functions managing projects
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently and with direction to execute on agreed upon objections
  • Ability to optimize business processes through automation and process improvement initiatives
  • Excellent coordination skills with high level of accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement and self-development
  • Exercises tact, discretion and judgment in accordance with legal, ethical and financial standards
  • Experience with healthcare economics preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Medical device experience preferred
  • Experience with Model N (or similar) revenue management software preferred
