Job Description

The Facilities Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing equipment operation and maintenance for the facility.  This will be completed by managing vendors to ensure assigned work is completed as required and will also complete repairs and adjustments themselves as needed. 


  • Oversee and inspect the work of outside contractors.
  • Trouble shoot and maintain HVAC and Electrical systems.
  • Estimate, schedule and oversee projects as assigned.
  • Manage and maintain Facility PM System.

Skills Experience required

  • 5-10 years of related work experience in facility maintenance or equivalent.
  • High School graduate or GED required.
  • Collage degree preferred but not required
  • Mechanical, Electrical certification preferred
  • Safety and compliance experience preferred.
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience with building plumbing, electrical, HVAC and other plant related equipment.
  • Understanding of computer based management systems (BMS, CMS, PM) preferred.  
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as business procedures, safety rules, parts manuals, operating and maintenance instructions
  • Prepare routine reports and communicate effectively to peers and management.
  • Ability to use MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point) and Internet to perform research and retrieve EHS information with proficiency is required.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written, or diagram/flowchart form and deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
