Job Description

This position serves as a member of Professional Affairs team reporting into Head of Medical Education.

This position owns the Marketing and Education events and HCP Interactions process, is responsible for conducting due diligence on events that Stryker conducts/participates. This position is responsible for creating a solid first line of defense of Compliance from HCO engagement perspective. The position ensures adherence to prescribed guidelines / policies/ regulations and uses judgement to make the right decisions with minimum supervision. The position regularly interacts with cross functions and also imparts process and guidelines training to vendors and sales and marketing teams. This position exercises judgment and makes independent decisions of minimal to moderate impact.

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of laws/regulations/Stryker Policies and Procedures w.r.t. area of work and ensure execution of education and marketing events as per applicable policies/guidelines.
  • First line compliance defense for all marketing and education and HCP interactions or engagement related initiatives. 
  • Work with cross functional teams to ensure quarterly planning of marketing and education programs as per prescribed guidelines.
  • Responsible for the due diligence process and Expense requisitions for Stryker events/programs and third-party event participation.
  • Work with cross functions to ensure periodic closure of Expense requisitions as per prescribed guidelines. 
  • Ensure accuracy of pre and post event documentation and timely payments as per the company policy.
  • Own the process of Healthcare Practitioner (HCP) onboarding.
  • Training of HCPs on Stryker policies and guidelines. 
  • Maintain record of HCP engagement program.
  • Partner with cross divisional liaisons to ensure proper engagement and payment of HCP consultants.
  • Facilitate issue resolution related to consultant onboarding, Marketing expense requisitions, event related documentation, contracts and payments in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for identifying system or process improvements and work with cross functional teams to build systems that increase efficiency, compliance to policies and regulatory guidelines and reduce cost to the business.
  • Work with cross functional teams to build a robust system of maintaining legal and compliance records w.r.t. area of work.
  • Conduct periodic audit of critical legal and compliance documents.
  • Responsible for developing strong relationships throughout area of responsibility to foster an advisory or collaborative approach to proactive compliance. Build partnerships with key individuals in all business units, legal, compliance and finance.
  • Effectively train internal business teams on system processes and high-risk vendors on Stryker policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain and roll out relevant trackers / reports to business and stakeholders as required
  • Manage internal and external audits
  • Build, manage and control books and record keeping process.
  • Various projects as assigned
