The Kit Scheduler contributes towards the operation of the kit area through the effective planning and scheduling of kit assembly. This involves ensuring all bookings are sourced appropriately (i.e. consignment vs. loan), and sufficient kits and components are available to complete assembly. This person needs to assist to drive continuous improvement within the Scheduling Team and the wider Operations division.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for:
  • Internally, this position must develop relationships with Sales in each product Division, and with key operations staff such as Operations Lead/Supervisor, Kit Assemblers and all areas of Customer Service.
  • Externally, relationships must be developed and fostered with operating theatre, and sterilizing department staff.
  • Ensure efficiency of the Kit Room function through:
  • Ensuring booked cases are appropriately scheduled for (this includes recurring)
  • Ensuring sufficient inventory and instruments are available to pick for bookings
  • Working with RMs to determine loan pool / consignment needs.
  • Organising partial or complete sets from other branches to fulfil any shortages
  • Assisting in the BMI return process where required.
  • Daily operational meetings with Ops Lead to drive efficiency.
  • Maintenance of bills of material e.g. surgeon preferences, consignment BOMs in conjunction with the Master Data team
  • Compliance of all team activities with company, legal, ethical and other standards
  • Driving a positive Customer Experience through delivering kits IN FULL (reducing To

Skills and Experience
  • Computer skills – JDE or similar ERP system, and Windows applications including Word and Excel.
