POSITION: Key Accounts Manager

1.1Job Title:

Purpose

As an Individual contributor position this role is pivotal in unifying all the elements of successful Accounts Management that will not only strengthen relationship but also unlock untapped value for both – Stryker and our Key Accounts. This position will champion the Customer’s voice within Stryker while simultaneously advocating a Solution Centric approach within the Key Account, built around strategic offering of Stryker’s portfolio. The basic expectation from this position is to strengthen existing relations and to establish new relationships in newly acquired accounts while insulating these accounts from competition. This position focuses on Long Term gain and strives to maximize business opportunity within the Key Accounts.

1.3Roles and Responsibilities

Key Account Management role strives to establish industry leading initiatives that influence the position of the business in the industry while building & maintaining a long term relationship with the key accounts. Key elements of the role are Strategic thinking, Relationship building, Collaboration & Analytics with following objectives:

  • Growing and developing existing clients through account specific growth strategies
  • Building strategic relationships with major customers & delivering high value to customers with an objective to have loyal and long lasting customers.
  • Playing an integral role in new business pitches to the C-Suite/Senior Executives & Group Purchasing Organizations
  • Being a central, pivotal point of contact for the Key Accounts
  • Driving alignment within the whole organization to implement a customer based mode of operation for delivering highest quality of services
  • Champion and Own the Account on following aspects – Strategy, Business Model, Order to Cash Cycle, Product Usage, Product Challenges – Customer Expectations vs Product Capabilities, Customer Value creation and Total Solutions Approach
  • This is not a hard sales position – Key Accounts Manager is expected to create value and position Stryker’s portfolio along that value only
  • Communicating Account strategy via Business Plan to align Senior leadership within Stryker and mobilize resources as needed

1.4Desired Profile

Education: Graduate with strong academic credentials with a Masters in Business Administration from a renowned B School

Experience: 8 - 10 years

Personality: Clarity of thought, Open Mindset, Executive Presence, Excellent listener and Strong Influencing skills that incite trust

Industry: Medical Devices, Pharma Or any white goods industry where candidate has worked in B2B scenario and/or in a Key Accounts profile
