Position summary:

The Business Analysis Manager is responsible for building strong collaborative relationships with the Neurovascular (NV) division with a specific focus on the Analytics technologies. He/She will work closely with the NV IT Business Partner to ensure consistency in the customer relationship in the US scope. He/She will be responsible for providing knowledge and expertise to department heads and process owners in identifying opportunities for technology and supporting prioritization. The Business Analysis Manager works to understand complex business needs and processes and to act as a liaison between the business and technical teams. They establish and improve business analysis processes and mentor business analysts. They are responsible for understanding business processes, eliciting and documenting requirements, and coordinating communication among various business groups and IT technical teams for critical and complex projects. Individuals in this position have an understanding of business processes, experience working with multiple technologies, and have demonstrated the ability to work with business users at all levels in the business.

Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description)

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the NV division and act as a liaison between the NV IT Business partner, IT teams and the NV Division.
  • Responsible for delivering on NV division’s Analytics needs across all business functions.
  • Collaborate with NV business and IT teams to identify and develop forward-looking advanced analytics and BI reporting use cases.
  • Active participation to define the business case for analytics and BI projects pipeline working closely with business and IT leadership team. Work closely with IT team to develop Proof of Value analytics products and demo the quick value to business.
  • Build a strong understanding of the commercial processes (including sales, marketing, and other associated functions) within the NV division and apply this understanding to IT strategies and implementations. 
  • Improve the business analysis function through best practices, process management, mentoring, and education.
  • Manage relationships with high level business stakeholders.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to drive consensus on the best solution to business problems and the delivery of new solutions and enhancements.
  • Define tangible use cases that align desired technology output to commercial objectives
  • Ensure clear communication between business stakeholders and IT technical teams.    

Education & special trainings:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration or  Computer Information Systems preferred
  • Qualification in Business Analysis or equivalent preferred

Qualifications & experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience is required
  • Knowledge of medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry and basic knowledge of adjacent areas in terms of processes, organization, products and IT requirements is preferred
  • Experience working with high level business stakeholders is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying entirely on command and control is required
  • Ability to uncover analytics opportunities that will help the business make effective decisions is required
  • Experience showcasing meaningful insights to the business stakeholders in an easy to understand story like format and using quick product demo from proof of concept/value is required
  • Experience working with business intelligence technologies required, (such as Power BI, Microsoft Azure, SQL, Tableau, Cognos, Oracle db, SQL db, ETL and building data warehouse).
  • Ability to train and guide the business on building visualization dashboards is required (ex Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience working with predictive, prescriptive, AI and ML technologies is preferred
  • Prior experience with an ERP technology such as Oracle or SAP is required
  • Experience with process mapping is required
  • Experience documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable format is required.
  • Experience understanding, evaluating, and recommending changes to business processes are required.
  • Experience working in an agency-regulated environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies is preferred.

  • Demonstrated strong communication and influencing skills – oral, written, listening, executive presentations   
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with business representatives at all levels to identify needs, define and document requirements, and drive solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to guide the business towards optimal solutions       
  • Experience in identifying opportunities for process optimization, process redesign, or development of new process/policies     
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain clear communication channels with IS and business stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Demonstrated ability to convert complex business functions into technical specifications  

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 10%
