"The Senior Manager, IS Business Partner will lead the IS function in alignment with EEMEA sales, marketing, operations and distribution functional leadership teams and support business strategies and objectives in collaboration with Global IS.  The Senior Manager will drive key programs and IS services, as well as, innovation and continuous improvement in the application of technology to achieve financial, operational and customer service goals in collaboration with the Global IS teams. The IS Sr. Manager EEMEA will be a trusted advisor to Stryker EEMEA Commercial Business in building an IS strategy to help the business achieve their strategic goals. This role will lead the local organization accountable for information services to Stryker commercial region in EEMEA and work with the new TransAtlantic Operating Model (TOM). The individual will develop and manage business partnerships with EEMEA leadership teams to formulate IS strategy and architecture in alignment with divisional business strategy and objectives. The individual will continue to drive key programs to achieve financial, operational and customer service goals. Key responsibilities include:  lead an engaged and effective team, build strong collaborative relationships with division leadership and teams; manage budget and guide the division in effectively investing in IS to meet strategic objectives by providing knowledge and expertise to department heads and process owners in identifying opportunities for technology and prioritizing initiatives; prepare, define, and monitor IS projects to address business needs; and, manage alignment of project deliverables with business requirements throughout the project and delivery life cycle. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Sits on the EEMEA IS Advisory Board where the IS portfolio is defined and prioritized with the business on a monthly basis

  • Drive IS value creation and customer satisfaction for EEMEA business

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with division leadership and act as a liaison between IS and EEMEA Business

  • Ability to learn and understand business requirements, issues and processes quickly; develop and articulate a point of view

  • Participate in the development of business and IS strategic plans

  • Lead collaborative efforts for business case development

  • Positively challenge and question business partners on needs and benefits

  • Work with Corporate Information Security Officer, legal and compliance

  • Assist in the development of metrics used to track value delivery

  • Identify opportunities where conflicts/synergies/redundancies exist between business capabilities and systems to improve IS effectiveness.

  • Reduction in interfaces, time to execution and system maintenance costs

  • Contribute to the budgeting process and lead and recommend Capital Expense Requests (CERs) for division IS projects

  • Liaise with other IS stakeholders in project management, architecture and governance to ensure alignment and ensure a smooth integration of process output with the rest of the IS environment

  • Work closely with business analysts, project managers and/or other IS resources in providing IS services and initiatives to the business

  • Communicate on IS initiatives by issuing regular status updates and managing communication within team, IS organization and Stryker EEMEA leadership and stakeholders.

  • Manage Performance reviews of the EEMEA IS team. Build and grow talent.

  • BA/BS Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science or other relative Technical Degree required.

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience in IT/IS and/or business discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience is required

  • Knowledge (4+ years) of medical devices and/or pharmaceutical industry and basic knowledge of adjacent areas in terms of processes, organization, products and IS requirements

  • Project management experience, working with internal and external cross-divisional team members, preferably with IS projects

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying entirely on command and control

  • Collaboration in a multi-country, regional environment.

  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with both divisional leaders and technical teams

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good business acumen and negotiation skills

  • Strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrated professional experience in IS and/or other related business discipline is required

  •  Ability to understand systems, interrelationships and recommend enhancements, and building IT strategy

  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, analytical, change management and communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively across functions and build successful relationships in global matrix organization

  • Awareness of current and future trends in the industry and competitors
