Job Description

This position plays an integral role in our success, as we work to simplify and drive production through this program. You will be responsible for the planning, coordination and successful deployments of the global PLM (Windchill 11) applications across all Stryker divisions, functions, and regions. You will coordinate with PMO Lead, Business Delivery Leads, Global Process Owners, and System Integrator(s), to drive the deployment of the PLM solution through end to end delivery and completion.  You work closely with System Integrator(s) to ensure alignment of key program activities and milestones for system deployment. Oversees and ensures completion of all business and program cut-over activities. Drives informed decision making for large cross-functional projects.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Perform activities following Stryker’s Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework and processes
  • Define a deployment framework which can be leveraged across all PLM programs and projects
  • Create individual/custom deployment plans for each program across Stryker divisions, functions, and regions with detailed contingency plans; and “Go/No Go” decision points
  • Create, coordinate and influence the deployment communication plans, including “Go Live” readiness, change management, cutover, and stabilization
  • Work with business deployment leads and IS teams to manage and prepare each site for solution readiness, data cleansing, data migration and training
  • Manage and coordinate with external suppliers and deployment partners to ensure they meet their contracted deliverables, agreed upon timelines, and metrics.
  • Work with PMO, Delivery Leads, Process Leads, and Change management to develop standards, tools and systems to effectively and efficiently manage the deployment of the PLM products across Stryker organizations, functions, and regions
  • Establish deployment metrics and ensures each division, function, and region are measuring pre and post “Go Live” success metrics
  • Work closely with IS Service Delivery teams to ensure implementation of post-production support model and processes
  • Ensure timely escalation and mitigation of issues and risks to ensure smooth deployment process
  • Partner with the IS Governance team to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, standards, procedures, and associated documentation including but not limited to computer systems validation, SOX 404, FDA and PM standards
  • Conduct “lessons learned” after each deployment to continuously improve the deployment process over the course of the program
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to other Delivery Leads, Solution Leads and Solution Analysts within the team or same project/program
  • Manage the HR designated tasks for the people within their team
  • Ensure financial focus on delivering activities on budget, leveraging time on value-driven activities and ensuring external resources meet contractual deliverables.
  • Complete special projects/assignments as required.

Education & special training:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in the areas of Computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent field of study required.
  • Master's degree in MIS, MBA or related disciplines preferred

Qualifications & experience:

  • Minimum 13 years of professional experience required, with at least 10 implementing GxP systems, including PLM.
  • Prior experience and demonstrated understanding of PLM or other complex business solutions with direct experience in global system rollouts required
  • Experience with GxP regulatory requirements (21 CFR Parts 820 and 11; ISO 13485; ISO 27001) preferred
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships within Stryker Divisions and Geographies
  • Ability to consider upstream and downstream process impacts and implications
  • Exhibits acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Versatility and willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Experience in enterprise solution methodologies, preferably in both traditional waterfall and agile approaches preferred
  • International experience and/or exposure working in other business functions preferred
  • Knowledge of Lean, ITIL, PPM, PMO, etc. standards and processes preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Senior Management
  • Must be able to generate, explain, and present detailed schedules, objectives, reports, and other documentation accurately
  • Demonstrated ability to work cohesively across a cross functional and matrix organization
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to drive initiatives and projects independently from start to finish
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills to a diverse set of audiences
