"The Director, Digital Products is responsible for Stryker’s Digital product planning and execution throughout the products lifecycle, including developing the strategy and business plan, driving new product development, gaining cross functional alignment and driving execution of the product plan. He/She will also be responsible for leading a team supporting digital products ensuring product delivery success.   In addition to this, the Director, Digital Products also ensures that that the company’s overall strategy and goals are supported by those of the product; that the product goals and strategy do not deviate from that of the business.  

  • Drive and align Stryker’s digital products to enterprise digital platform

  • Establish product strategy and direction for digital pipeline including the full end to end market ownership

  • Drive the product strategy by developing a deep understanding of market trends, needs of prospective and current customer, as well as how customers use Stryker’s digital products

  • Communicate market knowledge into user personas and product positioning statements which serve as the blueprint for both plans to improve go-to-market activities and a major input into the product roadmap

  • Develop clear and compelling roadmaps and priorities for each product, and support proposed strategies with detailed business case analysis for new products and product extensions

  • Work closely with Digital Platform Services Team to ensure detailed requirements are built and to track progress on specific customer and product initiatives, from initial product concept through the full product lifecycle

  • Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute

  • Responsible for delivering market research and voice of customer for Stryker’s digital products

  • Serve as the voice of the market across the organization

  • Work with the internal Stryker teams to articulate product value proposition, and champion the product internally and externally. Become the resident Subject Matter Expert on designated products and markets served and support sales efforts through client presentations, product decks, RFP responses etc.

  • Oversee post market intelligence including: product metrics, product expansion and continuous product improvement

  • Responsible for managing, directing, and guiding a team of Junior Product Manager’s including their development, day to day operations and performance mgt.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or computer science required.

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred

  • Minimum of 15+ years of professional work experience in IT/IS and/or business discipline required

  • Knowledge (5+ years) of medical devices and/or pharmaceutical industry and basic knowledge of adjacent areas in terms of processes, organization, products and digital requirements

  • 10+ years of Product Management or equivalent experience with successful history of delivering customer-oriented, complex solutions in a fast-moving environment, ideally in the digital technology space

  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in the industry, development processes, and business priorities

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying entirely on command and control

  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with both divisional leaders and technical teams

  • Must be able to develop an excellent grasp of the strategic, competitive, and economic dimensions of our competitors

  • Strong people manager, with focus on positive leadership, empowerment and employee engagement

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good business acumen and negotiation skills

  • Strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple priorities

  • Prior experience working in a multinational / global environment is preferable

  • Must have taken multiple products from inception to launch

  • Demonstrated professional experience in digital and/or other related business discipline is required

  • Ability to understand systems, interrelationships and recommend enhancements, and building digital strategy

  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, analytical, change management and communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively across functions and build successful relationships in global matrix organization

  • Awareness of current and future trends in the industry and competitors
