  • You will demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety, product quality and compliance with the Stryker, Quality Manual and its governing regulations.
  • You will work on facility layout and design projects with the Process Development Engineering, Production, Facilities and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
  • You will initiate and lead lean projects (i.e. Lean Production, Lean Support and Born Lean) with the Production, Process Development, Manufacturing Engineering and support teams.
  • You will Introduce and advance the lean manufacturing culture, principles and practices across the plant and work with local management to create and drive the Lean vision for the plant.
  • You will constantly promote, educate and instill the culture of waste identification and elimination throughout the plant in manufacturing and support areas.
  • You will coordinate and lead engineering tasks, which may include: creating and updating standards, maintaining BOMS and routers and creating and approving change requests.
  • You will develop and conduct Lean training programs for employees at all levels and departments.
  • You will create, maintain and refine a Lean toolkit that can include: strategic planning, 5S, visual controls, quick changeover, value stream mapping, mistake proofing, standard work, PFEP, TPM, work cell design and line balancing.
  • You will promote cross-functional and inter-site teamwork to accomplish shared objectives.

If you have these...BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (technical or business) and/or equivalent industrial engineering experience
  • 1+ years of experience 

And preferably any of these...PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work well with others in a team setting.
  • Ability to conduct complex statistical, geometric, and mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to conduct responsibilities substantially free from routine supervision.       
  • Ability to read, understand, create engineering drawings on common engineering software.
  • Ability to work efficiently on common personal computer hardware and software (e.g. CAD, MS Project, MS Office, Visio etc.).
