Reporting to the Hospital Solutions Manager and working closely with the Country Leadership Sales Teams, this role has responsibility for the operational implementation of new business awards as well as ad hoc customer support for non-product related issues.

To fulfil this need we are looking for an experienced Project or Account Manager to join our busy Hospital Solutions team. This team are responsible for project managing any of our larger business solutions where we work with Hospitals on larger capital projects, working alongside our Sales teams post contract.

This role will be customer facing, working alongside our Hospital customers taking responsibility for project managing key projects through to delivery. Although not a pure project management role, this role will require someone who can plan the delivery of a project, taking responsibility for working towards key milestones and delivery dates, whilst maintaining a strong working relationship with our customers and partners on these projects.

Key project examples would be the recent transitioning of 6 Hospitals across to our Trauma products simultaneously with no impact on patient through put.

This role could require you to work with customers anywhere in the UK, so you will need to be able and willing to do a high level of travel, sometimes at relatively short notice.

This role is based out of our Newbury HQ, but with regular travel. We can be flexible on location for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for creation and development of Pro-Start Programme for franchises
  • Project manage “new business” projects to include kit scheduling, training, data reports, etc
  • Working with customers to ensure seamless transition to Stryker e.g. storage, systems, work practices etc
  • Trouble shooting non-product related customer issues that have not reached resolution
  • Management reporting and usage reports
  • Attend customer meetings both pre- and post-business award as necessary
  • Oversee management reporting and usage reports
  • Respond to internal and external stakeholders including divisional GMs, Warehouse, Logistics, Kit Booking, Non- HCPs at hospitals, procurement, theatre managers
  • Ensure smooth transition of new business to Stryker
  • Work closely with external suppliers and logistics managers within hospitals to change stock over ensuring seamless transition for the customer, with no disruption in the customer’s operations
  • Travel in UK up to 3 days per week to meet deadlines for transition.
  • Leverage appropriate equipment / software packages for the role including Excel, MFG-Pro (Integrated Financial System), Monarch, Outlook, Cognos/Danube


The ideal candidate for this role will have the following background;

  • Some experience of the medical sector – ideally as an Account, Project or Capital projects manager.
  • Project Management skills – Project Management qualifications such as Prince II particularly welcome
  • Experience of working alongside or with a sales team
  • Proven relationship management skills.
