What you will do
As a Government Account Associate, you are responsible for driving growth in the government market. In order to accomplish this, you will:

Provide account manager support

  • Be the federal government subject matter expert and primary point of contact for the Instruments and Sustainability Solutions sales force
  • Support customer interactions and advise on strategies and contracting/procurement options to speed up the purchasing process
  • Provide new hire and sustainment training for the salesforce

• Be responsible for RFI’s/RFQ’s

  • Locate and review Request For Information (RFI’s) and Request For Quote (RFQ’s)
  • Work with divisional partners (Marketing/Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance/Strategic Sales Organization) to develop and submit RFI/RFQ responses
  • Track win rate and competitive losses to provide insights into market share

• Assist in contract management

  • Develop contract strategy and ensure contract coverage for the Instruments and Sustainability Solutions product portfolio
  • Work with cross-functional team (Government Contracts Office/Global Trade Management/Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance/Pricing) to provide input on contract maintenance

• Be responsible for channel development

  • Enhance existing and develop sales enablement tools to drive account manager interaction and sales with federal government customers
  • Develop knowledge of the government market to include market share composition and key competitive differentiators that help to inform sales strategy
  • Maintain relationships with Instruments and Sustainability brand and portfolio marketing teams to drive seamless product launch and sales in the government market.

What you must have
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High team and service orientation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Time management skills
• Proven problem solving and decision-making ability
• 2 years of sales/marketing/external customer facing experience is preferred

What we prefer you also have
• Knowledge of federal government contracts: FSS, ECAT, DAPA, PMCE, BPA, IDIQ
• Knowledge of the federal government procurement process
• Experience working with federal government agencies (Veterans Health Administration, Department of Defense, etc.)
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Power BI
