Job Description

This position is within Stryker’s Orthopaedics US Finance team and is responsible for providing financial support and guidance to this multi-billion dollar division. The Orthopaedics division has achieved a consistent history of year over year growth due to strategic planning and results driven attitude. 

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for recording financial activity, internal and external reporting, analyzing key accounts and participating in projects to improve the contribution to the division’s profitability. As a member of the Finance team our mission is to align with our business partners to achieve continued growth.  This role will be responsible to provide finance expertise to the Orthopaedics community. Best in class accounting and financial services is our goal and this individual will be responsible for evaluating and designing procedures to contribute to that goal. Select responsibilities include:

  • Accounting and Reporting
  • Assisting with the month end close by performing such tasks as journal entries, month-end allocations, accruals and communicating with global peers.
  • Analyzing inter-company transactions impacting the entire Stryker organization.
  • Communicating key account trends, risks and opportunities through insightful analysis to leadership.
  • Preparing schedules to support the external SEC reporting requirements.
  • Adhoc analyses, research issues and participation in projects with other individuals across the company are expected from this role.

Minimum Education, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 1+ years of accounting or audit experience with knowledge of Microsoft Excel. 
  • Hyperion Financial Management experience a plus.
