Job Description

Summary:

The Associate Manager, Finance Training & Development will employ innovative strategies to design, develop and deliver technical finance trainings and resources that will be deployed to Stryker’s global finance staff via a blend of classroom training, virtual training and on-demand video training. In addition this role will drive the development strategy for the Finance & Accounting Rotational (FAR) program and serve as the main program management office (PMO) contact for between five and ten rotational analysts and interns and their respective managers.

Essential duties & responsibilities:


Training


•         Lead the development and execution of domestic and international classroom trainings


•         Partner with SME’s to design & deliver training courses on intermediary to advanced technical finance topics & finance related systems for both domestic and international, as well as classroom and virtual audiences


•         Develop and deliver training sessions for leadership capability sessions

Development


•         Support brand building on campus by identifying and executing campus events


•         Assist in recruiting and selecting talent for the finance internship and Finance & Accounting Rotational (FAR) program including conducting campus interviews, phone screens and on-site interviews


•         Assist with the execution of all FAR program and internship program events including onboarding and regularly scheduled meetings


•         Own the development of three to five summer interns by conducting regular development discussions. Partner with intern managers to calibrate on performance evaluations and suggest intern conversions

Directly oversee the development of five to ten rotational analysts (RA) by conducting regular development discussions with analysts, monitoring performance, providing mentoring and feedback and identifying and tracking core competencies and key experiences.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.  Certification preferred (CPA, CMA, CIA).
  • 6 - 8 years of experience in Accounting / Finance roles
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • High level knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • CPA, CMA or MBA strongly preferred
  • Expertise in HFM strongly preferred
