Job Description

The CoA / Blackline lead will be responsible to bring standardization around chart of account and Blackline, with the objective to reduce the number or accounts to be used and reconciled, as well as JEs to be booked. The primarily focus will be SAP, but the analysis will be extended also to other ERP systems used in Stryker.
 

What you will do:

  • Design a standardized chart of accounts and standardize global blackline use
  • Determine accounts/cost centers not utilized
  • Determine number of immaterial JE’s booked
  • Finalize month end closing calendar
  • Perform analysis on current account recs
  • Determine appropriate frequency for account recs based on risk
  • Determine level of support/information to be maintained in Blackline
  • Determine Blackline metrics and standardize reports
  • Document new policies
  • Support the Manager on other accounting related analysis

What you need:
 

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Finance /Business related subjects


Qualifications & experience:

  • 4-6 years of relevant working experience in a finance function in matrixed international company (preferably American or Multinational company) with complex reporting practices and with exposure to various reporting systems
  • An accounting qualification (e.g. CPA or CMA) is preferred
  • Fluent spoken and written English. Any other language is a plus
  • Oracle or SAP systems, Blackline and HFM knowledge is a big plus
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and multi-task
  • Good technical and analytical skills to deliver accurate, quality financial analysis
  • Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to communicate complicated issues effectively
  • Computer or technical knowledge
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in English required
  • Other language is a plus
  • SAP systems and HFM knowledge is a plus
  • Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data accurately and efficiently
  • Ability to work independently, capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong ability to coordinate action across dispersed workforce
  • Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management
  • Demonstration of effective leadership, interpersonal, and strategic planning skills necessary to interact and influence senior management in both Finance and the business
  • Ability to create a highly energized environment of exceptional performance, shared accountability, and personnel excellence, with a commitment to coaching and developing others into leadership roles
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • ERP technology experience an advantage, including ERP implementations
