The Job's Mission

Repair instruments according to Stryker Medical specifications and perform all required quality control checks and preventative maintenance in accordance with the products operation manual.

Keep inventory accurate and doing service reports on all calls.

Account for time accuracy in the field.

Ensure field service reports are completed to standard.

Ship and receive equipment and supplies.

Present the highest level of customer etiquette in support of the sales team and promote increased equipment and usage by establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships.

Must adhere to Field service metrics and proper expense reporting procedures.

Develop the skills and knowledge necessary to be a Field Service Representative, such as developing sales experience through contract and service project sales and understanding budgetary concerns and control

Key Activities & Accountability

Repair of Company Products

  • Diagnose and fault find the repair of company products
  • Undertake the service and repair of company products to the required standards
  • Undertake the testing of company products and provide fully completed test and service reports
  • Perform upgrades on company devices as required.
  • Support Regulatory affairs function in field safety corrective action. 
  • Respond actively to field service call on timely manner upon request.
  • Maintain adequate stock of spare parts required to conduct repairs in efficient time manner.
  • Control spare parts inventory and perform monthly cycle counts as well as Bi-Annual physical count of the inventory and document it.

Quality System

  • Ensure all relevant repair/service information is entered into the database
  • Ensure the calibration validity of any test equipment used to repair company products.
  • Perform calibration of equipment as required.
  • Ensure any customer complaints received by service department are handled within company quality system guide lines

Continued Professional Growth

  • Develop relevant skills and knowledge by attending courses or make sure the needed knowledge is retained within the company
  • Be aware and support the development of the company quality system

Education

  • Completed necessary tertiary technical qualifications

Experience

5 years in medical technical industry
