Job Overview

This position works closely with both the external sales and internal operations team to ensure the appropriate and timely return or exchange of long term consignment inventory.  This position will improve the returns process, including communication, traceability and reconciliation of inventory records.  In addition, this person will be the primary point of contact for all expired replacement requests and implement tools and processes that will assist the sales team in reviewing their consignment inventory.  This individual must serve as a contributing member of the Inventory Control team while championing Stryker’s Mission and Values.

Responsibilities

Individual Responsibilities:

Functional Responsibilities:

Long-Term Consignment Returns Coordination

  • Coordinate returns of long term consignment inventory through the reverse supply chain by communicating with commercial teams, sales support team and customers
  • Manage, track and maintain long term consignment return requests through master tracking logs and Excel based tools
  • Research and resolve return discrepancies within established timelines to maximize revenue generation and minimize write offs
  • Report on completion of returns and reconciliations at regular intervals
  • Identify and implement long term consignment return process improvements in collaboration with Operations and Commercial teams

Expiring Implant Replacement Coordination

  • Process and track expiring implant replacement requests from the sales team
  • Evaluate supply options to meet customer requirements and on-hand inventory targets
  • Proactively provide updates on request statuses and delivery ETAs to the commercial team
  • Identify opportunities to reduce expiry risk and expense
  • Implement tools and process improvements to assist the commercial team with reviewing their consigned inventory and minimize risk of consignment implants expiring at the customer site
  • Ensure expiring implants are returned, tracked and disposed of appropriately

Other Responsibilities

  • Assist with the execution of the in-field consignment count program and associated reconciliations
  • Assist with the resolution of in-field consignment inventory discrepancies
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

  • Supply Chain/Logistics/Operation knowledge
  • High level of professionalism an emphasis on collaboration
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team oriented
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative
  • Highly analytical and able to communicate story behind the data
  • Outstanding Excel and data mining skills.  Experience with ACCESS, SQL, Oracle will be an asset
  • Special attention to detail
  • Superior time management skills, ability to manage multiple functions and adhere to regular deadlines

Education & Qualifications

  • University degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • APICS (CPIM) or other Supply Chain designation an asset
  • Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
