As a Senior Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Support automated equipment in production by troubleshooting automated equipment not limited to sealer, leak tester, automatic washer, glue robot, 4 and 6 axis robotic arms (Epson, FANUC), Vision systems (Congnex, Keyence, Banner), pneumatic actuators and valves (SMC, Festo, etc.)
  • Understanding electrical/pneumatic schematics and diagrams for custom automated equipment
  • Working with electrical panels, enclosures and wiring solutions for use in custom automated equipment
  • Provide support to engineering team doing electrical assembly and wiring.
  • Provide documentation in the form of operating instructions and troubleshooting guides.

Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience with electrical wiring and schematic.
  • Experience with PLC/HMI.
  • Interpret mechanical, electrical  and pneumatic drawings in  Solidworks and AutoCAD format.
  • Experience and skill in troubleshooting control system issues
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter, team player, work well with others and have a positive attitude; able to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
