What  you will do  R&D Sustaining Engineering is a critical function that ensures business continuity on commercial products, executes business process improvements and revenue generation programs. R&D Sustaining Engineering executes design changes navigating Design Control from Design Requirements to Design Verification/validation and Manufacturing Implementation.  It is a key role that works closely with Regulatory Affairs, Design Assurance, Quality, Manufacturing and Operations to resolve any post-launch technical issues. R&D Sustaining also supports Sales and Marketing with technical fairs, competitive analysis, field response and product launch support.    ,What  you need

  • 7+yrs in medical device industry experience

  • 5+ yrs in Engineering Management (R&D, Process Development, Manufacturing or Quality Engineering)

  • Development of tools, methodologies, processes for better execution.

  • Design selection based on performance and cost trade-offs – ROI analysis

  • Resource management of a team of 5+ engineers.

  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and implement design or process changes

  • Evaluation and reporting of project and department progress, technical development plans and results.

  • Leading Major Programs- Experience in the following knowledge areas: Scoping / Planning / Executing / Controlling and Monitoring / Close

  • Development of project plan / Quality Plans / Project Tracking Plans

  • Experience executing design changes, verification and Validation

  • Materials Knowledge: Nitinol / Metals / Polymers

  • Analytical Materials and Mechanical Properties Testing

  • Knowledge of Processes for: Catheter / implant/ Stents / others

  • Test Method Development / Validation.

  • Six Sigma – Green Belt or equivalent certifications

  • Process / Cost Improvements
