We are currently seeking an Engineer, System Design to join our Spine division in Davie, Florida

What you will do

  • The Engineer-System Design will develop the design, requirements, and documentation, perform analysis, lead implementation and integration of system features (software, robotic arm, implants, and surgical instruments) to deliver best-in-class robotic-assisted orthopedic solutions. Will work closely with developers and engineers to develop surgical applications.
  • The candidate should work in close collaboration with engineering, marketing, quality assurance, and program management groups to deliver products for Stryker customers per the product development roadmap.
  • Furthermore, support the continuous improvement of Stryker product development tools and processes.
  • Design and implement complex concepts, draft design documentation, plan and conduct relevant tests under close professional leadership.
  • Apply processes and Standards under close professional leadership.
  • Support integration and administration of development tools including required validation.
  • Display an eagerness to learn and seek out development training and mentoring opportunities.
  • Work diligently to project schedules as determined by project leaders and be able to clearly communicate the status of assignments, coordinate tasks, and shift priorities as dictated by project demands.
  • Support problem-solving activities including data gathering and analysis.
  • Meet the needs of internal customers such as GQO, AO, AQE etc. as applicable for specific project assignments.
  • Be detail oriented with strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Participate in, solicit feedback and document reports as needed on cadaveric evaluations.


What you need 

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace or related discipline.
A Master’s preferred
