What you will do

As a systems engineer you will develop, design requirements and documentation, perform analysis, lead implementation and integration of system features (software, robotic arm, implants, and surgical instruments) to deliver best-in-class robotic-assisted orthopedic solutions. You will work closely with developers and engineers to develop surgical applications. The candidate should work in close collaboration with engineering, marketing, quality assurance and program management groups to deliver products for Stryker customers per the product development road-map. Furthermore, support the continuous improvement of Stryker product development tools and processes.

Specific Responsibilities are:

  • Design and implement complex concepts, draft design documentation, plan and conduct  relevant tests under close professional leadership
  • Apply processes and Standards under close professional leadership.
  • Support integration and administration of development tools including required validation.
  • Display an eagerness to learn and seek out development training and mentoring opportunities.
  • Work diligently to project schedules as determined by project leaders and be able to clearly communicate status of assignments, coordinate tasks, and shift priorities as dictated by project demands.
  • Support problem solving activities including data gathering and analysis.
  • Meet the needs of internal customers such as GQO, AO, AQE etc. as applicable for specific project assignments.
  • Participate in, solicit feedback and document reports as needed on cadaveric evaluations.

What you need 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Computer Engineering or related discipline.
  • Master’s degree or higher in Engineering Program preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in leading initiatives on cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated experience with design controls in a regulated industry.
