Job Overview
This position uses a wide array of knowledge, customer service, education, support, technical skills and critical thinking abilities to facilitate hospital/staff support. The individual must serve as a contributing member of the Stryker team through collaboration with sales and service while championing Stryker’s Mission and Values.

Responsibilities
Individual Responsibilities:

  • Proactively collaborates with internal teams/departments to promote a culture of inclusiveness and cooperation
  • Responsible to live and exemplify Stryker’s Values: Integrity, Accountability, People, and Performance.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective, proficient, and timely service, education, training and support to all customers in direct support of the sales and service teams to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Provides clinical surgical support by operating/supporting all Stryker Endoscopy equipment and other portfolio solutions i.e. Medical, MedSurg, Communications, Orthopaedics
  • Anticipates related device/solution needs of the hospital/staff, and provides support, training and education pre/post and during procedures.
  • Is responsible for trouble-shooting and maintaining Stryker Endoscopy and Communications equipment
  • Is responsible for trouble-shooting and maintaining Stryker solutions in Medical, MedSurg, Communications, Orthopaedics
  • Works with surgeons, patients, O.R. personnel, central processing, biomedical, and all other related personnel to maintain Stryker partnerships, support and relationships
  • Maintains knowledge base of equipment and disposable products
  • Assists the Sales Representative in providing physicians and O.R. personnel with information on new products
  • Assists with the service department and Field service staff for field service support and information
  • Adheres to hospital policies, standards and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Job Requirements

Knowledge & Skill Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for individual and group communication
  • Able to read and understand technical manuals extensively
  • Must be self-motivated, self-reliant and able to work with little supervision
  • Hospital department, Operating room experience and demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, surgical procedures, and techniques
  • Must have near vision acuity (corrected) color vision, mobility, bending, standing, stooping, and finger dexterity
  • Must be able to generate and explain detailed forecasts, guidelines, and procedures
  • Must be able to analyze non-routine product issues using independent judgment
  • Must be able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies
  • Respects patient confidentiality
  • Must be able to travel up to 20%

Education & Qualifications
  • Post Secondary Education Required or University Degree Preferred
  • Related experience in the field of medsurg, surgical instruments and endoscopic procedures preferred
  • Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
