Job Overview

The Distribution Associate must be a team-oriented individual capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Position responsibilities include receiving, restocking, picking, packaging and auditing of products, as well as housekeeping duties associated with maintaining an organized, clean and safe work environment. This individual must serve as a contributing member of the Distribution team while championing Stryker’s Mission and Values.  

Responsibilities

Individual Responsibilities:


  • Proactively collaborates with internal teams/departments to promote a culture of inclusiveness and cooperation
  • Responsible to live and drive Stryker’s values: Integrity, Accountability, Performance and People

Functional Responsibilities:


  • Lift and move medium and heavier weight items (up to 50 pounds)
  • Navigate small to medium size ladders
  • Able to work on your feet for long periods of time, including standing
  • Pick, pack, and accurately confirm goods prior to shipment
  • Prepare and maintain records of items shipped
  • Examine stock and distribute goods in inventory and in other areas
  • Other duties as assigned by your Manager

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

  • Excellent team player and a positive, professional attitude at all times 
  • Experience with Oracle an asset
  • Accuracy is essential for use with RF scanner  
  • Knowledge of proper lifting/body mechanic techniques and adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Ability to perform multiple functions and adhere to daily deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and active environment
  • Punctual, reliable, well prepared with strong organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work a variety of day shifts in a 40-hour work week

Education & Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary education required (Distribution, Supply Chain or Logistics focus preferred)
  • Experience in a Distribution Center environment is an asset
  • Prior experience using RFID scanner is an asset
  • Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
