Supply Chain at Stryker is on a journey, and we are looking for our next leader to continue this transformation as the Director of Supply Chain, Asia Pacific. You will be responsible for the Supply Chain Center of Excellence within the region, collaborating with the Global COE's and the APAC markets to develop and deploy solutions and capabilities in areas such as integrated planning, distribution, freight management, customer service and logistics. You will also develop oversight and help provide solutions to help manage and improve performance of the markets at APAC enterprise level on key operational service, cost and cash KPI's. What you will do:

  • Develop the key initiatives that can be driven holistically to increase leverage and benefit all of APAC

  • Collaborate with the markets to support specific projects to improve operational performance and results for the business

  • Create an overall program structure and update cycle for key projects and programs

  • Execution of Global Supply Chain Operations (GSCO) initiatives around freight, trade compliance, and RAQA

  • Lead the deployment and maturity of Integrated planning across the region working with the Global COE

  • Represent the region when required for specific M&A and Global initiatives

  • Drive continuous improvements across sites in a region resulting in cost savings, quality and productivity improvements

  • Ensure adherence to tax, legal and compliance requirements impacting GSCO activities in the region

  • Manage and lead a small support team in the region to execute key activities

What you need (required qualifications):

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or finance

  • At least 10 years of business experience, ideally a supply chain background within the period

  • Prior experience in successfully delivering organizational transformations or programs through change management, stakeholder management, and influencing to an optimal outcome

  • Prior experience in managing by influence across multiple teams/groups/matrix organization across an organization

  • Demonstrated strength in interdependent partnering and team management

  • Leadership experience with inventory, planning, order management and MRP computer systems are required

  • Experience with working and collaborating with remote teams across multiple cultures

  • Strong financial acumen as knowledge of business case and value creation will be critical

  • Knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues

  • COE experience - worked within a COE environment previously

  • Fluency in English. Fluency in other Asian languages is a plus.

  • Available to travel within region of APAC and Global by exception, and availability to work outside of normal hours to interact with global colleagues

Preferred experience/qualifications:

  • Experience with process improvements, product/demand planning, and ERP systems (JDE or Oracle)

  • APICS certification - Must understand end to end supply chain interactions and interdependencies.

  • Lean Manufacturing Training - Process Excellence/Six Sigma tools, training and/or certification experience is highly preferred
