Job Description

The Director of Robotic Clinical Service provides management and clinical case coverage direction for the US Domestic Market (East) for Mako Sales and service. This executive manages the US East Makoplasty Specialist organization to develop and deliver an outstanding clinical result for the user-surgeons.  He/she drives continuous account growth and utilization of the clinical base by working with all levels, including Mako Product Specialists, Account Executives, key hospital staff, thought leaders and referring doctors in district to develop a referral base and increase procedural/implant volume. This leader will provide training, ongoing in-services, and customer education in support of the Sales effort.  He/she will drive feedback on customer experience to improve performance, quality and customer satisfaction.  This executive will partner with Account Executives and other cross functional teams in selling the clinical benefits of the company’s products.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works with the team and VP, Robotic Sales and Service to effectively manage activities to insure optimal clinical results, sales growth, strategy, business plans, and maintains superior customer satisfaction.
  • In-depth knowledge of key account profiles, targets, influence patterns and barriers to growth.
  • Prioritization of prospects for training, events, and other sales activities.
  • Build, develop and coach the Mako Product Specialist team and communicate performance expectations.
  • Partner with the Mako Market Development team and Joint Replacement sales force to ensure optimal account launches.
  • Exercise sound judgment and oversight to ensure integrity and compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. Promote integrity within the group.
  • Maintain and drive accurate procedure forecasting.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining world class relationships with customers within the US.
  • Partner with Area Sales Directors, Account Executives in selling the clinical benefits of the company’s products to drive adoption of the company’s robotic arm platform
  • Attend sales training meetings, as well as trade shows and other events that would tend to promote and give visibility to the Company’s products
  • Must maintain current credentials as required by Stryker and clinical sites (i.e. EHS training, vaccination requirements, HIPAA certifications, etc.)

Travel Percentage: Up to 75%
