  • Leading People: Lead management team and their direct reports with a focus on driving employee engagement and professional development, and strategic focus on recruiting, retention and succession. Establish performance goals for direct reporting team and oversee the same for all department employees, and monitor performance on a continual basis
    • Needs Assessment Processes: Maintain, evaluate and develop processes for managing the day to day activities involving the division’s need to engage HCP Consultants, including contract execution, recording the business need, and payments.  Oversee Thought Leader process, which verifies the businesses bona fide need for HCP Consulting services, and act as voting member. Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure processes are compliant and in line with corporate policy and government regulations. 
    • Needs Assessment Systems: Oversee division’s use of the Corporate Compliance Database (CCD), the system that maintains a record for all HCP Consultant contracts, engagement activities and payments.  Continually evaluate integrity of data and system to ensure established processes are accurately being adhered to.
    • Inventor Consultant Program: Oversee the Inventor Consultant program, which manages the strategic and tactical engagement of HCP Consultants who provide business advice, strategic direction and ideas on technology development through an exchange of intellectual property.  Manage the process for tracking annual requirements, both hours and contributions.  Manage the process of scheduling quarterly Inventor Consultant Evaluation Panel.
    • Reporting: Develop, implement and analyze reporting tools for the business that will assist in strategic decisions surrounding HCP Consultant engagement.  Develop reporting tools that will be used to gage departmental metrics for annual objectives.   
    • Grants and Donations Committee Member:  Serve as a voting member of the committee responsible for evaluating division’s educational grant and donation requests to ensure compliance with company policy and Advamed guidelines.
    • Commercial and R&D Business partnership: Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to the Commercial and R&D teams in all aspects of the HCP Consultant engagement program.

Proactively identify, resolve or seek assistance utilizing a collaborative approach to overcome challenges before they escalate, to ensure business objectives continue to be met.
