Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes overall service strategy for the region/business unit to define realistic service goals, with the primary responsibility of ensuring (constrained) collections with region field service team, to accurately budget the region’s service (product collections) for the corporate annual budget
  • Build a receipt forecast based on the needs of the business each year
  • Create and standardize a service infrastructure that closely aligns sales and service as well as operations
  • Manage expenses to budget, with particular attention to overtime, travel and expenses
  • Develop and implement a plan, to streamline the organization, to facilitate education in facilities that would lead to incremental receipts
  • Explore and work with IT to develop appropriate receipt reporting
  • Explore and recommend additional systems to bring efficiencies to the service organization
  • Ensure Go Green accounts in each market are identified and maximized
  • Achieves monthly collections forecast for the region/business unit to achieve forecasted sales and service goals.
  • Reviews annual budget and monthly financial goals for the business unit to ensure resources are maximized to accomplish target sales and service goals.
  • Analyzes the service activity to proactively chart courses of action and ensure achievement of financial goals.
  • Assesses the service activity to forecast for the region on a daily and weekly basis and redirects effort to ensure results to ensure sufficient product is recovered to meet the sales forecast.
  • Maintains relationships in Key and Growth Accounts. 
  • Engages the team and participate in business reviews, action plans, and strategies for success with the top five Key and Growth Accounts to ensure all aspects of the business relationship, from product recycling to reprocessing medical device sales, is fully on track (i.e, personally oversees the 20% of accounts that generates 80% of the revenue in the region.)
  • Establishes key relationships within 3PL  executives to leverage opportunities for additional collection and  service at existing facilities or generate new opportunities with new customers.
  • Facilitates effective and timely communications with the team and customers to ensure that concerns are addressed in a timely manner and sales are maximized through focused team effort.
  • Schedules weekly open forum team meetings to review business status, re-strategize to maximize effort for greater result going forward, and demonstrate sales techniques to help maximize to account penetration.
  • Establishes an effective staffing strategy and recruitment plan to support the business.

Qualifications:

  • B.B.A. or B.S. in business with an emphasis in marketing or related discipline.
  • M.B.A. or M.A. desired
  • Possess ability to identify and hire outstanding talent.
  • At least 8+ years of proven sales, service management experience, or equivalent.
  • Fosters an environment of acceptance within the organization.
  • Takes an active role in the mentorship and development of the Service Operation Managers.
  • Financial analysis
