Job Description

  • Serve as a member of the Marketing leadership team in developing Marketing strategies and tying educational initiatives to product launches and other business initiatives.
  • Create the medical education vision and strategy and align the team with that vision.
  • Ensure that all educational activities and programs are aligned with the business strategy and vision.
  • Hire, train and retain talent within the Medical Education and Professional Affairs team.
  • Mange existing consultant relationships and contracts
  • Identify and engage future thought leaders.
  • Build loyalty through relationships with customers.
  • Create and implement educational programs and strategies to ensure HCPs are well trained on applicable Stryker products.
  • Lead the strategy around all Stryker product trainings with HCPs in industry meetings and local events.
  • Develop partnerships with society leadership to identify educational needs and potential solutions.
  • Ensure compliance in all educational programs and HCP interactions within team.
  • Partner with key surgeons and educational facilities to help them develop their content for presentations.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with Key Opinion Leading surgeons and administrators to properly inform our education and awareness initiatives.
  • Ensure the team is driving, facilitating, and executing local and regional courses including dinner didactics in adherence with the code of conduct and in conjunction with Marketing plans and business objectives.
  • Oversee team’s execution of ISPIES, fellowship courses, and AIM Masters courses in conjunction with Marketing.
  • Partner with Stryker divisions to identify, collaborate, and execute ongoing educational opportunities with societies, organizations and medical education providers.
  • Leverage existing consultant relationships and contracts to maximize potential educational and awareness opportunities
  • Promote, collaborate and leverage the expertise of team members to address educational needs of the customer.
  • Empower the team to make independent, compliant, business focused decisions.
  • Ensure the entire professional affairs team maintains adherence to Stryker’s Code of Conduct including AdvaMed requirements, assuring that decisions regarding consultants or grant recipients remain independent from commercial influence.
  • Manage professional affairs budget and compliance requirements inclusive of grants, donations, and third-party courses.
  • Effectively manage budget for medical education and professional affairs spend, including but not limited to travel expenses.
