Job Description

The Director, Inventory (Finance COE) leader will initially focus on designing and coordinating the activities necessary to ensure successful SAP implementations. The role will focus on standardizing SAP deployment activities and driving successful implementations. Responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding legacy ERP systems to drive successful transitions to SAP
  • Preparing for first month-end close in SAP
  • Begin standardization of inventory reserves and standard costing process
  • Prepare team for expansion as additional divisions go-live on SAP

Over time, this leader will focus his/her team on managing and standardizing inventory processes for Stryker Finance. The Director, Inventory (Finance COE) will be responsible for bringing standardization and automation to R2R inventory processes (including month-end closing, E&O reserves, UPI, etc.), by defining and streamlining policies and procedures.  This position is also the primary business partner for the Inventory Planning & Management team. 


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Consolidate inventory financial analysis to support supply planning scenarios
  • Coordinate with respective commercial finance groups on Inventory analysis, strategy, and accounting
  • Project and budget for Stryker’s global inventory position
  • Partner with Commercial Finance group and GQO leadership (DOLs/IBP/Supply Planning) on the budgeting process and establishing Inventory Targets by Franchise/ product segment
  • Work with IPM Analysts and Commercial Finance on Excess/ Obsolete/ Surplus Inventory      
  • Analyze inventory trends and recommend actions to optimize inventory levels and utilization  
  • Recruiting, Staffing and engaging the COE Finance team focused on Inventory
