Communication Strategy / Project Management/Strategy Responsibilities

Strategy and Project Management

  • Responsible for leading the Neurotech (NT) initiative; manage the existing scope and refine/define future strategies
  • Work with NT executive council and various workstreams to advance a Neurotech value proposition for customers
  • Update and support Neurotech “fact book” of market information, key competitors, and key M&A targets
  • Facilitate the various Neurotech meetings, collaboration events, and key strategy sessions
  • Create and execute a multi-year Globalization strategy with associated connections in Europe and Priority markets for both Neurotech and NIS
  • Participate in all group leadership staff meetings, strategy sessions and President’s meetings
  • Drive alignment and execution of engagement activities inclusive of group all-employee Town Hall meetings, divisional local/regional meetings, etc.
  • Build activity/engagement schedules for events related to key opinion leader (KOL) and sales rep meetings
  • Implement and drive coordinated activities for key group and enterprise initiatives including: IMT, R&D Council, Digital, COOLT projects, etc. 


  • Create annual Communication strategy and plan for NIS team/Group
  • Responsible for the oversight and implementation of external and internal communication initiatives for the Group; steady collaboration with Senior Executive Leadership team to align messaging, talking points, and presentation content for critical initiatives to include employee, sales meetings, industry events, and customer engagement projects
  • Serve as the group communications liaison for all M&A activity; work with the divisional/business unit counterparts to ensure Group President has approved/is aware of happenings; draft Group President M&A communications and manage related activities
  • Partner with Group administrative assistant to coordinate and schedule the annual calendar of events, ensuring timing and messaging/talking point/presentation alignment
  • Produce communications on internal channel(s) while managing the vehicles in which each are distributed (i.e. Connect – intranet)
  • Responsible for content creation, and responsiveness on social media outlets; implement corporate-approved procedure to launch and monitor (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
  • Leverage meeting planning skills (sales, trips, industry, specialty) to train and/or influence the successful outcome of a variety of small (team) to large (corporate) events

Potential additional responsibilities

  • Assist or lead the acquisition integration (internal/external) communication action items; inclusive of key messaging and tactics (pre/post close)
  • Assist or lead key communication activities for Group M&A
  • Assist Group Finance and Group HR with key projects and activities
  • Review and understand both Enterprise and MedSurg project lists to ensure alignment and support where applicable. 
  • Assist in coordinating key interactions/meetings/events across the COOLT

Desired education and experience:

  • Bachelor of Science, Business Administration
  • 7-10 years experience in the med tech industry, with a strong background in building communication strategies and executing those strategies. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working in a matrix organization and partnering at all levels of the organization.
