Position summary:

The Director, Brand will oversee our company brand initiatives including marketing activities related to positioning, value proposition and messaging. This executive will support category leadership and growth objectives with clearly defined reasons to believe.  He/she will work collaboratively with our businesses and functions across all levels of the organization to ensure that brand strategy supports business strategy and to drive a customer-centric and patient-centric brand experience.  Additionally, this executive will partner with other members of the Communications team to successfully integrate company marketing and communications activities. 


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Influence the development and execution of our global company brand marketing plan
  • Partner with Communications to execute brand marketing plan through key channels
  • Advance company brand strategy, architecture, positioning and customer value propositions
  • Manage delivery of messaging and proof points/reasons to support positioning and customer value propositions
  • Work with product and service marketing teams to align their value proposition with the company positioning
  • Guide partnerships with businesses to develop brand strategies and migration plans for mergers and acquisitions
  • Manage collaboration with business leaders on cross-divisional marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Provide company level marketing and brand direction to cross-divisional teams
  • Manage brand governance, guidelines, platforms, support and tools
  • Partner with businesses to guide the creation of marketing tactics and tools to improve the brand experience at events such as tradeshows and national sales meetings
  • Responsible for budgets, performance metrics and other KPIs
  • Manage brand team including coaching, development and regular feedback
  • Support other team responsibilities including functional business plan development.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe tools

Qualifications:

  • 15 years of relevant experience in marketing strategy, brand, and/or communications
  • 15 years of managerial experience with a minimum of 5 direct reports
  • 15 years leading project teams in multiple job areas and managing cross-functional teams
  • 10+ years healthcare or medical device industry experience
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information
  • Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in creative direction and visual articulations of brands
  • Experience in external professional services management, direction and contractual bids
