The Demand Planning Analyst has ownership of product and option level demand plans and will work with the forecast central modeling team to optimize statistical forecasts within the demand planning system and adjust plans as necessary to deliver the highest accuracy possible.  The demand plan provided will be used by the supply planning and manufacturing teams to help determine manufacturing needs and resources required to meet the demand, and drive optimal lead time and financial performance.

The Demand Planning Analyst will also work with other internal teams such as sales and marketing teams to gain market intelligence information and to gather critical demand inputs and will be responsible for analyzing the data to identify trends in demand. This role will be responsible for identifying significant business risks relative to demand plans and shipment targets and for escalating to the appropriate leadership teams for resolution.  The Demand Planning Analyst will participate in executive demand reviews to drive leadership and cross-functional alignment. 

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure on time delivery of high accuracy demand plans of the Division by product and/or option level.  Must utilize metrics to drive continuous improvement through process
  • Partner with marketing function to ensure development and timely delivery of demand plan
  • Support Integrated Business Planning (IBP) meetings at divisional level and leverage best available cross-functional inputs and apply judgment based on knowledge of the business and robust cross-functional discussions
  • Drive for a high standard of customer service and demand plan metrics by managing statistical baseline, demand planning, and net requirement plan error and bias, and assisting in the reduction of operation’s cost through level planning of manufacturing
  • Improve forecast accuracy by effectively analyzing sources of demand plan error and recommending appropriate action plans
  • Integrate product lifecycle management through demand planning process for phase-in and phase-out of products
  • Use demand planning tools and technologies and participate in development, modification and improvement of procedures, policies, processes and technologies within the organization
  • Assist with annual budget preparation, status reports and other related communications


A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.  APICS certification is preferred as is Process Excellence/Six Sigma tools, training and/or certification

Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in at least one of the following disciplines: Supply Chain Planning, Demand Management/Forecasting, Logistics, Manufacturing, Procurement, Order Management, Inventory Management and/or Contract Manufacturing.  

Ideal candidates will also possess the following skills/experience:

  • Must have knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues
  • Hands on work experience with manufacturing, marketing, sales, planning, and ERP systems are preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excels and/or PowerBI skills preferred
  • Must be able to communicate well and influence to all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical/quantitative skills
  • Ability for decision making, to work under pressure, and capacity to make good judgment under critical situations. Accuracy and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
  • Team work and customer service orientation
