Job Description

Individual Responsibilities:

Demand Planning Responsibilities:

  • Develop and fine tune statistical forecasting models to deliver best in class forecast accuracy by SKU by week
    • Accountable for updating and maintaining processes, tools and systems associated with the monthly consensus process with respect to consumption based information
    • Provide forecast insight during IBP team meeting
    • Report on Base, Incremental, Pipeline and other consumption drivers
    • Work with Marketing and Sales to gain valuable input to key volume drivers
    • Consolidate forecasts from all functional areas
    • Publish monthly reports to Marketing and Operations Team
    • Collaborate with Plant Manager/IBP team leads in the creation of the Item/Weekly/Location level forecasting (Operational FCST)
    • Review market forecast analysis to determine customer volume patterns with Sales/Marketing
  • Manage & Lead monthly Consensus meetings with MKTG, Sales, Supply Chain & Finance and Global IBP Team leads and plant managers
  • Provide leadership & accountability of key inputs and assumptions of key stakeholders in forecasting (Marketing/Sales/SC)
  • Participate in the Long Range Planning activities
  • Provide insight into root causes of forecast error, developing and implementing solutions to drive continuous improvement
  • Key participant into cross-functional development of forecast improvement processes, tools, and systems
  • Optimize inventory levels for assigned portfolio(s) in Oracle
  • Fine tuning safety stock level to minimize out of stock while maximizing fill rate
  • Provide insight into the Safety Stock settings and ABC Classification of Inventory
  • Prepare various reports on a monthly or as needed basis for customer care team
  • Drive continuous improvement initiative to improve planning and purchasing process

Education & Qualifications

  • University degree required
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role an asset
  • APICS or other CPP designation preferred
  • Previous experience in medical device or hospital industry is a strong asset
  • Experience and in depth understanding of ERP and Oracle experience preferred
  • Forecasting experience an asset
  • Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
