Job Description

We are looking to hire an experienced Continuous Improvement and Training manager Manager who will be responsible for building the data-driven problem-solving capabilities throughout all levels of the ProCare Services organization (front line staff to leadership) through training and coaching. As a member of the Operations Excellence team, the ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to build a true LEAN culture – mindset, skillset, and toolset - throughout the organization; effectively driving positive staff engagement and business results. The CI & T Manager will own and further develop the training model to ensure a high standard of technical, system and product training that will meet the requirements and needs of ProCare Europe. Working alongside the Principal lead trainer, who is tasked with the execution of the training model. The CI & T will be responsible for accelerating efforts to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of procedures and practices across multiple teams in Europe. The CI & T manager will also act as the project coordinator and/ or participant in solving large-scale, complex problems in service operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive and facilitate continuous improvement into all areas of the business with clear objectives and measurable key results
  • Develop, own, and execute the technical, process, system and product training plan to support new processes, systems and ways of working.
  • Develop necessary training documentation and procedures to build necessary skillsets and toolsets.  
  • Develop, generate, maintain, and analyze skills matrices and training reports to assess and adjust deviations from training as required to achieve objectives.
  • Monitor technical training certification status; prepare plans to ensure employees are trained adequately.
  • Ensure that all continuous improvement activities align with overall ProCare services strategy.
  • Provide leadership and support to ensure that improvement teams are productive with full participation of all team members.
  • Work with key stakeholders across ProCare Europe to identify learning needs and ensure that the standard of delivery is in line with divisional best practice.
  • Design and deliver lean/ continuous improvement training events and activities.
  • Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of training activities and implement relevant improvements.
  • Periodic delivery of lean training modules with continuous review and improvement implementation
  • Service as the SME in Lean Sigma tools and techniques to include: Value stream transformation/ mapping, 5S and workplace organization, visual management systems, flow manufacturing, pull systems, line balancing, standardized work, PDCA, FMEA, capability studies, measurement systems analysis, statistical process control, and other tools as identified
  • Develop front-line and manager-level capability, creatively apply coaching tools and techniques.
  • Ensure that trainees develop personal competencies to autonomously pursue waste elimination.
  • Encourage a commitment to action and personal development with the trainees.
  • Observe, listen, and ask questions to understand the situation/ problems and be supportive and humble
  • Drive customer satisfaction in all areas of accountability and understand internal or external customer requirements.
  • Identify and drive waste reduction from customer value streams in all areas of exposure.
  • Collaborates with leaders to execute Gemba walk process (Managing for Daily Improvement), utilizing and constantly improving the visual management on the workshop floor and in the office areas.
  • Tracks progress of continuous improvement plans at workshop and team levels.
     

SKILLS/ REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate a process and determine the key components of that process as well as the issues that are constraining that process
  • Humble inquiry and ability to solicit the cooperation of a diverse group of disciplines and functions.
  • Complex critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to develop relationships with cross functional teams to achieve results in a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to develop, review and provide feedback for effectiveness of procedures and training.
  • Solid business/ financial acumen and functional understanding of performance metrics.
  • Familiar with MS Office including Visio and Project.
  • This role will require significant travel across Europe. Please expect to be in another country for at least a few days on an almost weekly basis.

EDUCATION/ TRAINING

  • 5-10 years’ experience leading a lean transformation across multiple sites including; 5S, waste elimination, standardized work, visual management, TPM, Value Stream Mapping, Material Supply Processes, Logistics, Supermarkets, 8D, mixed model flow, Business Plan Deployment, Line Balance, Single-piece Flow…etc.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Lean Certification required
