Job Description

"The Continious ImprovementSpecialist is responsible for:
Secure day to day:
•         Engage in the investigation, analysis and implementation of lean methodologies within departments and functions;
•         Support the delivery of departments and functions KPI’s;
•         Communicate and participate in system and process troubleshooting with team members and with external agents where appropriate;
•         Advocate safety and promote compliance;
•         Lead and participate in cross-functional process improvement initiatives.

Strengthening the base:
•         Support process improvement and cost reduction activities within departments and functions, focusing on increasing the ratio of value-add to non-value add activities, promoting flow and eliminating waste;
•         Provide coaching to departments and functions in lean principles and the application of lean tools;
•         Participate in the development and implementation of standardized best practices and procedures;  
New Business Needs/Opportunities:
•         Assess system & operational implications
•         Represent department in solution determination
•         Provide IS requirements, develop test scripts & execute testing
•         Initial masterdata set-up
•         Ensure full alignment with the department and respective manager
•         Co-develop implementation plan for department and execute supporting actions
•         Plan training Oracle (System/processes)
•         Within projects assess system & operational implications and represent department in solution determination and project implementation.  
Develop for the future:
•         Support the development of methodologies for selection of departments and functions processes for optimization and improvement cycles; Support the optimization of departmental and functional processes,Profile  
•         The individual must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in process improvement role;
•         Bachelor / Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial or Logistics Engineering or equivalent.
•         Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and a proven ability to achieve results through people;
•         Business understanding of operations and there impacts essential;
•         Strong communication skills with both Internal and external agents.
•         Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
•         Capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team;
•         Competent in preparing and implementing improvement strategies.
•         Results oriented;
•         Analytical;
•         Problem solving skills;
•         Natural ability to see the helicopter view / connecting the dots;
•         Strive for changes and improvements;
•         Creativity;
•         Lean thinking, yellow Six Sigma Belt is preferred;
•         High level of PC skills required.
•         High level of English writing, reading and conversation is required.
•         Flexibility "
