Job Description

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Manufacturing Lead will guide and instruct Operators, Material Handlers, and other manufacturing personnel.  

The Manufacturing Lead will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Coach and motivate manufacturing Personnel and further the objective of Quality Production.
  • Identify talents in all levels of the department (and Temp Labor) and work to apply those talents in shop functions.
  • Collaborate with other Shift Leads, Administrative Assistant, and Manager to advance department metrics, expectations, and promote department development.
  • Work with Technician Group to share knowledge and promote personnel growth in both groups.
  • Promote cGMP and cGDP processes.
  • Adjust operators/Temp Labor to accommodate production schedule.
  • Relay appropriate company information to Floor Personnel.
  • Make floor-level quality decisions regarding production and production equipment.
  • Address and report personnel issues in a timely fashion to the Manager and HR.
  • Review and adjust time cards and cross compare with LX software.
  • Attend meetings for engineering protocols/runs and disseminate information to appropriate personnel.
  • Supply appropriate paperwork to the floor.
  • Periodically check production equipment for quality output.
  • Maintain company policies, safety rules, and keep work areas clean and orderly.
  • Report production, scrap, and downtime through appropriate methods to Management and Floor.
  • Report Non-Conformances and participate in Non-Conformance Investigations.
  • Completes Performance Reviews and Compensation Requests.
  • Investigates and report accidents.
  • Thrive on task completion.
  • Enjoy employee interaction- having a personal relationship with Associates.
  • Revel in being an opinion leader- helping to change and manage change on the floor.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Training department to develop staff knowledge and skills including temp labor
