Job Description

We are looking to hire a highly motivated  individual with a good medical background to join our Joint Replacement team, taking on an exciting role in supporting the introduction and continued use of our Joint Replacement product portfolio, as well as supporting cases using the MAKO robotic arm. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team in a dual role that will offer a good variety of interesting tasks supporting several hospitals in your region in the use of our product portfolio. This variety of tasks, delivered at several hospitals should mean no 2 weeks are the same. This role would suit someone with a good clinical background, who is looking for a varied and interesting workload who is also happy to travel.

Key Activities & Accountabilities

  • Gain an understanding of the clinical application of the Stryker Joint Replacement portfolio
  • Support the delivery of robotic and manual Joint Replacement procedures
  • Learn how to conduct trials and evaluations of products in theatre and clinical environment as required.
  • Make observations of customer needs and liaise with sales colleagues to follow up on and introduce new or additional Stryker product and/or support.
  • Learn to record details of customers and maintain a basic business
  • Develop an understanding of the local healthcare environment.  Understand the patient pathway through a hospital and the role we play in providing product for suitable treatment.  Gain an appreciation for the main departments in hospitals and what interaction we have in those areas.
  • Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports competition and team spirit.
  • Additional responsibilities as directed by RSM (Regional Sales Manager).

Education & Background

  • Ideally you will be educated to degree level
  • Medical degrees/qualifications a distinct advantage
  • Experience of the Medical sector
  • A Clinical background is particularly welcome

Experience & Competencies:

  • Would be ideal / advantageous if had some clinical experience.
  • Strong communication skills
  • An interest or experience of dealing with customers would be beneficial.
  • Technologically adaptable
  • Presentation skills with modern presentation media.
  • Workshop/demonstration skills/training skills/presentation skills.
  • An interest in anatomy and physiology.
  • A background that demonstrates an ability to engage with others, influence, motivate and work hard. 
  • Ability to construct a basic business plan, highlighting daily, weekly and monthly objectives.

  • Have an ability to build rapport and understand the importance of relationships in service delivery
  • Able to engage with customers at different levels and ask appropriate questions to establish needs of our customers.
