Clinical Support Specialist - Joint Replacement, North West England & Northern Ireland

The Job's Mission

The Clinical Support Specialist responsibilities include directly supporting all Stryker products associated with Orthopaedic Hip & Knee procedures and optimising customer service. This role within Stryker UK will focus on supporting our customers to provide a best in class procedural solution.

Additional responsibilities also include working with the local sales representative to coordinate training and in-theatre support to ensure exceptional levels of customer care both in theatres and in the wider hospital are delivered.

Key Activities & Accountabilities

  • Service existing customer base within the theatre and clinical environment
  • Provide theatre and other HCP staff training on Stryker products
  • Working closely with other team members within the defined region, and the Regional Sales Manager, to ensure customer service levels are best in class. 
  • Auditing theatre and hospital stock (implants, disposables and instruments) – managing consignment levels and ensuring good asset management and stock rotation
  • Understand the clinical application of the broader Stryker portfolio to offer our customers the best possible solution
  • Conducting trials and evaluations of product in theatre and clinical environment as required
  • Additional responsibilities as directed by RSM (Regional Sales Manager).

Planning, executing and monitoring all measures necessary to help achieve industry leading support.
This encompasses in particular:

- Customer care for physicians, surgical theatre staff, hospital administration & procurement

- Organising and conducting training workshops with participation from surgical & theatre staff

- Helping initiate and drive theatres and patient pathway efficiencies for the benefit of the customer

- Understanding the local healthcare environment and overall hospital/specialty plans and strategies


Certified scrub nurse or ODA, professional training in a medical environment preferred.


Theatre experience essential.  Minimum 2 years experience of orthopaedic theatres.

Commercial acumen essential. Must have awareness of budgetary and cost issues surrounding theatres and surgical procedures

Computer skills, MS Office.

Presentation skills with modern presentation media

Workshop/demonstration skills inc. Anatomy and physiology
