Job Description

The Purchasing Analyst is responsible to generation of purchases for Colombia, Puerto Rico and North LATAM countries (NOLA), aligned with the company's sales objectives and strategies. Developing a multifunctional work of purchasing and availability of inventory, with Planning, Foreign Trade, Commercial, Finance, Customer Service and Technical Service areas. Defining quantities to order through the MRP, based on open sales orders, purchases defined by the company, inventory levels and safety stocks stablished. Control and follow up of inventories in excess and obsolescence monthly. Inform and track shipments of products until they are invoiced and delivered by the plant, ensuring that they are carried out within the lead time accorded by each plant. Coordinate availability and delivery dates, tracking to obtain release of holds and emergencies orders with plants around the world. Requests credit notes in case of damages or non-shipped products. Enter virtual inventory for the countries of North LATAM. Data management maintenance of ERP (SAP or QAD system).

The key responsibilities are:
  • Coordination of delivery dates with manufacturer’s customer service, and place orders for the country / region with the frequently requested by the business;
  • Weekly report of following up to the orders acknowledgement per item shared with Customer Service and Foreign trade;
  • Serve as the primary contact on urgent orders, advance delivery dates, and holds release;
  • Weekly report of inventory level for Commercial area and Technical Service;
  • Guarantee the cover of the safety stocks to the established products;
  • Control and follow up to the inventory in Excess and Obsolesce;
  • Data Management maintenance in the local ERP (QAD or SAP);
  • Coordinate with RAQA and Finance process as CER and registers.

  • To plan the work, on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis according to the guidelines of the Company;
  • To generate on a timely fashion all the reports required by the operation management;
  • To make the trip expense report no later than 30 days;
  • To plan vacations in a timely manner;
  • To use the work tools according to the policies and guidelines of the company.

Occupational health
  • To procure integral health care;
  • To provide clear, true and complete information on his/her health condition;
  • To comply with the rules, regulations and instructions provided by the health and safety management while working in the company;
  • To report in a timely fashion to Stryker existing dangers and risks at the work site;
  • To participate win training activitires of the Health and safety management system at work (SGSST);
  • To participate and contribute to the compliance of the health and safety management system (SGSST).

Job Requirements

  • Degree in administrative areas;
  • Must have understanding of end to end supply chain interactions and interdependencies;
  • Knowledge or prior experience with international purchasing;
  • Manage system ERP (QAD and SAP) preferably;
  • General knowledge of the medical device industry is a plus;
  • Intermediate level in English is required;
  • Prior experience in managing across multiple teams/groups across an organization;
  • At least 2 years of business experience in Supply Chain management or related fields such as purchasing, foreign trade process or customer service;
  • Prior experience with process improvements, organization, following, and ERP systems;
  • Proactive, organized, multitask and hard worker skills;
  • Ability to drive results through a global matrix structure;
  • Effective communication with different levels of the organization;
  • Ability for decision making, to work under time pressure, accuracy, and prioritization.
