To further grow our Trauma & Extremities commercial activities in The Netherlands we’ve created a new position; Business Solutions Manager reporting to the General Manager T&E Benelux and Poland.

We are currently recruiting for a very strong, proactive customer facing BSM who will work to enable growth across the changing external healthcare landscape. Working to proactively identify new business opportunities which are borne out of future Trauma tenders between different hospitals. Build innovative and differentiated proposals at both franchise and Stryker levels thus delivering profitable revenue grow for both T&E and Stryker and delivering solutions to customer issues.

You will focus on:

  • Developing and executing (validation & commercialization) on current and future added value solutions in close collaboration with the European Marketing Teams.
  • Working with the NSM & PM, the BSM proactively defines new business opportunities and acts as the key Stryker contact in executing innovative collaborative proposals and driving sustainable revenue and profit for the NL T&E business.
  • You will be the key contact point for T&E strategic relationships with the major framework providers. Working with the key groups to identify and execute on new business opportunities allowing Stryker to be easier to do business with rather than multiple franchise touchpoints. 
  • You will work collaboratively with other franchises in agreed accounts to co-ordinate cross divisional deals with maximize revenue opportunities across the Dutch Stryker organization.

Next to this you will also:

Business Development and Customer Engagement

  • Lead customer engagement and partnership development across the including procurement hubs and framework providers.
  • Identify and build customer specific proposal plans for agreed target customers based on needs assessment
  • Be the interface with the target customer group leading to greater customer understanding, improved contact management and operational effectiveness.

Business Development Planning

  • Identify and quantify changes influencing Stryker’s business, both within traditional hospital environment and beyond
  • Identify new business opportunities that have a joint outcome for the customer and Stryker through establishing an extensive network at each level of the healthcare environment
  • Effectively manage projects to a timely completion observing budget and communication expectations

Management and Research

  • Establish key metrics for all activities and undertake any monitoring to understand the return on investment of key initiatives
  • Understand the company’s goal and purpose to enhance the company’s performance

What you need to bring:

  • Bachelor/master’s degree with relevant commercial experience within our industry
  • Fluency in both Dutch & English is a must
  • Strong project management skills, combined with LEAN
  • Experience of engaging senior level customers (Trust Director, C-suite) within the Dutch healthcare environment
  • A good understanding of P&L, and working knowledge of how to maximize profits for Stryker
  • Be able to represent the Stryker brand and values with internal and external customers
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills; strong cross-functional influencing skills & teamwork
  • Keep the customer’s needs at the center of all planning activities, encourage communication, drive execution, and foster innovation, as a means of providing a best-in-class service
  • Are have a problem-solving mentality to create initiative solutions
