This is a terrific opportunity to join Accelerate, Stryker’s largest transformational ERP program to date, impacting the entire organization. Not only are we implementing SAP, we are changing the way we do business across the organization.

This role is an integral part of the Accelerate program and will be responsible for ensuring the impacted stakeholders are ready for shut down periods without operational interruptions.

The Business Readiness Project Lead has two primary objectives. The ideal candidate will ensure that all impacted business functions will be ready, willing and able to execute all the cutover activities at the targeted implementation date by putting in place the right processes and change activities prior to go live to eliminate business continuity risk. The ideal candidate will also puts these processes and activities into a tight change management framework through which business readiness will be assessed periodically via pre-defined metrics. Business readiness activities can be mapped out in “change roadmaps”

Essential duties:

  • Assess impacts of the activities required to successfully execute cutover for the business as part of the SAP Implementation
  • Based on assessment of requirements, determine impact on each stakeholder group and determine deployment/ cutover readiness strategy required to execute
  • Partner with Deployment leads to support the planning, simulation, execution and hypercare collaboration with the competency center
  • Partner with the impacted stakeholder groups and align on and develop strategies to ensure business continuity during cutover and go live
  • Create detailed project plan to support required readiness strategy to include pre -cutover preparation, cutover execution, business ramp down, blackout, and business ramp up
  • Manage/monitor the project plan to ensure all activities are executed per the plan
  • Align the program and business on required activities of the cutover process
  • Partner with deployment lead, group lead and stakeholders to identify required SME’s to support cutover activities and ensure:
    • Stakeholders are aligned on deployment readiness activities and timing
    • Appropriate support from the business to execute required cutover activities
    • Impacted stakeholders are ready and participating in deployment planning and execution
  • Create and monitor business readiness scorecard
  • Establish mitigation activities required based on score carding trend and results
  • Support Go/NoGo meeting metrics for business operational readiness
  • Partner with the Change management leads to understand overall business change impacts and support the execution of activities required to ensure stakeholder groups are ready for implementation
  • Review and provide input to the change management work plan and provide weekly status updates
  • Implement communications that ensure stakeholder buy-in and execution for cutover activities
  • Manage regular deployment readiness communication and planning meetings with business stakeholders and SMEs
  • Partner with Communication lead to create deployment readiness specific communication plan
  • Ensure group leadership and SMEs are prepared to support cutover activities (time and timing requirement)

Bachelor's degree required

Preferred experience:

  • Prior experience in planning cutover and implementation stages in large scale transformation programs preferred
  • Project management: Focusing on business readiness and implementation, including tracking of deliverables and management of risks and issues
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Build and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders, planning and execution of plans, the ability to work through influence and engagement, and a commitment to meeting quality, time and cost objectives as outlined by the project
  • Influencing: Able to influence others within the business line organization to complete the required activities in support of data quality
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Versatility and ability to adjust priorities quickly and manage multiple stakeholder needs
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
