Position Summary:

The Business Process Owner is accountable for all ERP program deliverables and work product for respective sub-process areas. Responsible for defining, designing and delivering SAP centric end-to-end solutions involving focus areas of treasury, invoice to cash (accounts receivable and collections) and invoice to pay (accounts payable and cash disbursements). Reports to the Finance Global Process Owner but is responsible for cross-workstream coordination, partnering with IT and business resources to provide requirements and guidance to technical (IT) teams, driving effective solutions and delivering successful end results.  Accountable to ensure high quality solution process and solution designs that meet current and anticipated business needs.  Coordinates with project workstreams to engage divisional and functional SMEs to provide input and participate in project activities. Coordinates testing activities (i.e. Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing). Provides functional guidance to training developers, and to lead and directs Data Quality and Data Conversion for the “sub-process” area, including data mapping and validation activities. Identifies business use cases to be leveraged in test scenarios. Leads the strategy and design of global standard for end-to-end process. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (Detailed Description)

  • Effectively function as the ERP implementation Business Process Owner in the Treasury, Invoice to Cash (I-to-C) and Invoice to Pay (I-to-P) areas, in all phases of the implementation (requirements, process mapping, design and deployment activities such as data readiness, testing, training and change management) to ensure that solution meets business requirements.
  • Drive adoption of to-be business processes to align with ERP capabilities (global processes and standards) and gain alignment with key stakeholders including Stryker divisions, functions, and geographies. 
  • Deliver process and technology transformations including Treasury and Cash Management IT solution strategy and implementations, bank connectivity strategies (e.g. SWIFT, Bank Communication Management, Multibank reporting)
  • Demonstrate creative 'out of the box' thinking to solve difficult problems and champion new processes and technologies to achieve project goals.  Drive process changes and efficiencies enabled by new technology.
  • Coordinate involvement of Stryker business subject matter experts (SMEs) in key project activities
  • Facilitate rapid decisions and the completion of the Solution Design and Key Configuration Decisions
  • Drive the creation and delivery of training content 
  • Provide process expertise for shared service migrations, business integrations including mergers, acquisitions and divestiture activities. 
  • Mentor and supervise a team. Guide and evaluate the performance of those individuals. Accountable for the effective performance of the team/individuals.
  • Keeps executive leadership, peers and staff informed through effective verbal and written communication.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and constituents (business leaders, key users, technology partners, etc.).
  • Recognized and sought out as an expert in his/her discipline within the company.
  • Viewed as a change agent and future leader of the company.

Education & Special Trainings:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Master’s degree in relevant field preferred
  • SAP Certification preferred
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience in complex multinational organizations
  • Strong preference for significant experience with SAP implementations and technology consulting
  • Demonstratable experience of executing process transformation initiatives or delivering enterprise systems.
  • In-depth understanding of SAP Treasury, Invoice-to-Cash, and Invoice to Pay leading practices and relevant SAP modules and bolt-on tools.
  • Understanding of Customer and Supplier master data and the relationship of master data to the relevant solution (use of master data in SAP and partner applications for Treasury, I-to-C, and I-to-P)
  • Significant experience with SAP ERP implementations and upgrades with focus on RTR (FICO, Treasury Management, BCM, FSCM-Dispute, Credit and Collections Management) and integration with partner systems.
  • Expert user of relevant SAP modules like BCM, Bank Reconciliation, AR, AP, FSCM-Dispute, Credit and Collections Management etc. and expert understanding of partner systems in relevant processes.  Ability to guide technical team on solution design.
  • Extensive knowledge of medical device industry and significant knowledge of position relevant areas in terms of organization, process, and IT. 
  • Experience documenting requirements and mapping complex processes and presenting them in clear understandable format to leadership team and divisional/functional heads required.
  • Experience with formal project methodologies is preferred.
  • Should possess strong integration knowledge with SD/MM and other non-SAP systems
  • Leader that collaborates effectively across all Stryker divisions and regions, has strong influence skills and ability build consensus and drive change.
  • Stakeholder management experience with ability to influence & persuade key stakeholders and to constructively deal with conflicts.
  • Ability to work with others in a formal process for solving issues and problems. 
  • Able to lead and motivate global cross-functional teams.
  • Exhibits acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
