Job Mission

The Brand Manager is the pan-European brand expert who sets strategic direction and ensures execution for portfolio growth through development and execution of marketing campaigns and strategies, portfolio development, internal and external education strategies, and European customer engagement campaigns.

This marketing leadership role is responsible for driving brand preference and delivering market and share growth across Neuro & Biomaterials product segment in the European Head & Neck division. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defines and execute brand and marketing strategy for assigned Stryker Head & Neck Neuro & Biomaterial products to drive market share gains aligned with Divisional Strategy
  • Clearly communicates European brand and marketing strategy for Neuro & Biomaterials product segment and ensures country and regional strategy and execution aligns with the European strategy
  • Develop and convincingly articulate a long term vision for assigned Stryker Head & Neck Neuro & Biomaterials products which differentiates them from competitors and shows how products will achieve maximum potential
  • Manages Product Lifecycle strategy across Europe for assigned Stryker Head & Neck Neuro & Biomaterials products
  • Partner with divisional resources to develop portfolio through new product development, line extensions, M&A activity and integration of business development activities in CMF market place.
  • In partnership with Education Manager and CMF Sales Training manager, identify internal training needs and create and deliver relevant content / training programs for Neuro & Biomaterials.
  • Develop and manage an effective KOL network relating to Stryker Head & Neck Neuro & Biomaterials products in addition to building pre-launch customer advocacy for key new product launches
  • Identify and implement new approaches to promotional channels and engagement with customers for assigned Stryker Head & Neck Neuro & Biomaterials products
  • Contributes to the completion of the Annual Marketing Plan for H&N Europe ensuring to capture the strategic direction and customer needs of the Neuro & Biomaterials customers and market
  • Manage branding, messaging, positioning, and pricing of assigned brands based on market, customer, and competitive insights.
  • Working with country leadership to forecast demand, develop relationships with supply chain partners
  • Provide analysis of business performance, brand perception, and other drivers of future brand performance. Define mitigating actions to deliver on strategy
  • Partner with European and Divisional Clinical Research teams and in-country Governmental Affairs teams to define Market access strategy and Clinical Research strategy for Neuro & Biomaterials.

Qualifications / Tenure:

  • 8+ years in product/brand marketing, sales or R&D within medical or other relevant industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Marketing, Engineering, Life Science or relevant field (Masters or MBA Highly desirable).

Experience/ Skills:  

  • Proven success record in leading marketing project incl. marketing plans, product launches and campaigns within healthcare industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of product management processes, planning and execution
  • Track record as contributor and marketing lead in cross-functional projects
  • Strong commercial skills and broad experience in supporting the sales force and customer facing activities in the field.
  • Proven track record of analysis of key customer and competition trends.
  • Proven commercialization of products to drive growth
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software is required
  • Team player with strong influencing skills
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • High degree of attention to detail and follow through required
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Travel required in the field (~30% of the time)
