What you will do

The position of production supervisor is responsible for supervising the employees under his responsibility in a production environment. This position plans and assigns work, follows policies, values and procedures. Recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

Function:

1. Supervise and coordinate the activities through group leaders who are involved in one or moreproduction tasks, to ensure the continuous workflow as well as the fulfillment of projects according to the specifications of quantity and quality

2. Analyzes Production programs and estimates man-hour requirements to complete the assigned job.

3. Communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

4. Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.

5. Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs.

6. Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data.

7. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

8. Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.

9. Appraises the performance of subordinates and recommends the appropriate development plans. Recommends or initiates personal measures such as promotions, transfers, dismissals and disciplinary actions.

10. Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures.

11. To work closely with other supervisors to achieve the coordination of activities between the individual departments.

12. To detect the training needs of the staff under his charge.

What you will need

  • Engineering or other Professional Degree or Equivalent Experience.
  • 3 to 5 years in the implementation of Production Programs and Supervising Personnel.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (including Word, Excel and Power Point), Internet browsers and Email.
  • Human Resources administration software (Tress) will be considered as a plus.
  • This position will serve the night shift on weekends.
