Job Description: The Associate Product Manager will be responsible for driving all upstream product development product and downstream product marketing strategies and programs consistent with overall business objectives for brands, utilizing traditional and innovative marketing/product approaches, tools and methodologies.

A day in the life:

  • Develops and executes portfolio product marketing strategies to achieve stated revenue, profitability and market share objectives
  • Works with supervisor and co-workers to evaluate trends in assigned segments or new, but related, markets to determine segment penetration opportunities and growth strategies
  • Investigate and assess product and technical needs for either future development projects or business development
  • Work closely with R&D to implement portfolio innovation by gathering detailed Voice of Customer to solve unmet clinical needs 
  • Develops strong brand positioning, messaging, value propositions, and launch materials which are creative and impactful
  • Drives the product marketing message through all communication channels by partnering with internal and external communication resources and functions
  • Collaborates and collects VOC from field sales management, consulting surgeons and patients to validate, deliver and evaluate marketing strategies and programs
  • Support the development of pricing, sales channel strategy and training & education initiatives for new product launches
  • Establishes a consistent brand image throughout product lines, promotional materials, and events
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, surgeons, and hospital administration to validate and deliver product portfolio strategies and programs, continually testing the solutions with end users
  • Represent Marketing on cross-functional teams (Sales Management, Field Marketing, R&D, Finance, CQR, Operations) to support high impact launches on new products

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • 1 - 2 years’ experience in a classical marketing function and direct product management experience
  • Prior work experience / internships in the medical device industry helpful
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a cross-functional and team oriented environment
  • Strong oral and written skills (both in groups and one-on-on interaction)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Maximum coaching required
