Manage the upstream marketing portfolio strategy and execution of new product development efforts by collaborating with R&D, Sales and Marketing, gathering customer and market insights and prioritizing opportunities to maximize growth by launching commercially successful new products.

Identify both core and adjacent opportunities for new product development by working with our customers and sales force, collaborating across the organization and attending tradeshows and meetings

  • Manage and determine the appropriate cadence, timing and lifecycle of new product launches to maximize the ROI and revenue growth for project investments
  • Conduct thorough due diligence to vet out ideas with VOC and market research to reduce risk and ensure critical assumptions are accurate
  • Coordinate with R&D to quickly develop and iterate prototypes to validate opportunities and problems and the acceptance of new concepts and ideas
  • Work closely with industrial design to ensure that the product styling and user experience supports the portfolio strategy and competitive position within the market
  • Develop assumption based financial models with market/customer data to determine the market acceptance and pricing for new project ideas to prioritize and gain organizational buy-in
  • Collaborate with R&D to prioritize and select project inputs to maximize business and customer value while balancing time to market and resources required.
  • Develop assumption based demand forecasts for all funded projects to provide guidance to operations for capacity planning
  • Guide and support the project teams throughout development to ensure customer, sales and marketing input is being appropriately translated into the product design
  • Work with Clinical Science, R&D, Marketing and Regulatory to identify and execute studies, white papers, claims and indications to maximize the impact and demonstrate the value of new products
  • Work with the respective Brand Management team to provide support for the marketing launch plan and go-to market strategy for all new products
  • Monitor the competitor and market trends for the respective portfolio.
  • Manage the PLCM portfolio obsolescence strategy as it pertains to new product launches
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with KOLs, Consultants and Cross-Divisional Marketing/R&D partners for the respective portfolio. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated outstanding organizational, industry, and technical knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/facilitate cross-functional teams
  • Project management
  • Direct customer interactions
  • Experience in Medical Industry/Customer preferred
  • Internal Product Development training
  • 1-2+ years of direct or indirect project management experience preferred
  • B.B.A. or B.S. degree (emphasis in marketing, engineering, or related discipline preferred)
