Job Description: Responsible for product development, product lifecycle management, OEM and business development in close alignment with key stakeholders globally. Responsible for developing business cases and sourcing new products, companies, technologies, and intellectual property that meet the relevant strategic initiatives. Lead voice of customer research with a focus on customer centered design. With the support from a more Senior Portfolio Manager, prepare business cases which will include execution of due diligence, strategic rationale and management of key relationships with the potential strategic partner.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate on product development pipeline and R&D cooperation
  • Identify companies, products, technologies, and intellectual property as viable acquisition opportunities that fit the strategic business focus
  • Close cooperation with global stakeholders to define and find consensus on product and business development strategy
  • Execute field due diligence and voice of the customer through marketing, sales channels and key opinion leaders to fully understand the opportunity
  • Prospecting for new business and writing proposals - identify opportunities to win business
  • Develop and execute programs to engage customers and gather insights for product development projects
  • Partner with Stryker’s Market Insights team and third-party market research companies to execute primary and secondary research and surveys
  • Plans, directs and coordinates the external market analysis for product acquisitions
  • Support new product launches through commercialization
  • Development of product and process solutions to make it easy for our customer to do business with Stryker

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in Economics, Marketing, Engineering, Life Science or relevant field required (Masters or MBA Highly desirable)
  • 5-7 years of marketing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pharma/Tech industry experience
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on mentality
  • Ability to clearly and confidently set direction.  Strong communication skills.
  • Develops and champions new business ideas and portfolio development
  • Ability to persuade/influence people
  • Understands what is needed to accomplish project objectives and establish appropriate goals and priority
