Stryker’s Orthopaedic implant manufacturing facility in Mahwah, New Jersey is seeking to hire an Associate Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

  • Managing a manufacturing engineering team of 8+ engineers including providing technical guidance to maintain and improve core manufacturing processes.

  • Presenting plan metrics including productivity, improvements, cost reductions, and project management execution.

  • Identify and develop new innovative methods and technologies for the advancement of manufacturing operations.

  • Assist in the development of the engineering talent pool to maintain expertise in our core processes and provide technical career development for engineers.

  • Support capital acquisition activity primarily in the area of specifying equipment, installation and validation.

  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing value streams by participating with our operators and support engineers in problem solving and issue resolution including using define, measure, analyze, improve and control (DMAIC) methodology to implement data driven improvement cycles for improving, stabilizing and optimizing business processes and conducting & supporting root cause problem solving strategies.

  • This role will focus on lean continuous improvement and kaizen activities to improve manufacturing processes.


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering – required

  • 7+ years related work experience - required

  • 1+ years management experience – required

  • Manufacturing experience in medical device or regulated industries -preferred

  • Previous experience managing manufacturing capital budgets and cost reduction strategies – preferred
